Prints more gorgeous than the real thing!
Pros: BEAUTIFUL results. Prints from all programs. Individual ink cartridges reduce wasteful spending.
Cons: Max size print is 8 1/2 x 11. Cartridges rather expensive. Full review My needs for this printer were slightly different than pure photography printing. I wanted to print 8 1/2 x 11 advertising portfolio pieces, which means dealing with a lot of different programs and printing sharp type on beautiful images. This printer passed all tests with flying colors! I was printing off a Mac with OSX, which was no problem. I also had to print from older operating systems for some pieces, and that was also no problem (the directions clearly explained how to deal with different operating systems). I printed Quark, Photoshop, Word, and InDesign files and none of them were problematic (my last Epson printer was much more temperamental). The prints were beautiful. The machine specializes in features for glossy, but the matte prints I made were equally gorgeous. And every printout was so true to the colors, I didn't have to readjust settings once. Yes, it's slow for high detail prints, but that's something I'd expect for this amount of detail. But for quick print outs (like economy word documents) it spits them out at an impressive rate. I would be guessing if I told you exactly how fast, but it's definitely much faster than most Epsons. It's hard to find a printer that fits my specific needs. This one did and then some. |
