Pros: Good camera for family and kids shots. 10 shot self timer.
Cons: no autoexposure bracketing. case scratches too easily
The Bottom Line: It's a great 2nd pocket camera for professionals, and a good point & shoot for most others.

Pros: Ultra-compact, 8 megapixels, fast, stylish, user friendly, 3.0" LCD screen, and Optical Image Stabilization
Cons: Auto exposure only, no optical viewfinder, and red-eye issues
The Bottom Line: Canon's new PowerShot SD870 IS digital camera provides a near perfect balance of pocketability, auto everything operation, snappy performance, and tough as nails durability.

Pros: Compact size, large viewing screen, fast startup, easy navigation, picture quality (at times, battery life
Cons: Fuzzy pictures, frequent manipulation of settings required, auto setting and face-detection not recommended by Canon
The Bottom Line: I can recommend this camera, but the consumer needs to research the bad reviews along with the good ones to get a truly accurate "picture" before purchase

Pros: great video capability; very portable and handy.
Cons: Red-eye in photos.
The Bottom Line: This is a great camera for beginners or as an alternative to a more flexible, larger camera (as a backup for an SLR, for example).
